DMG CMX V Series: Powerful Vertical Machining Centers

DMG MORI’s CMX V Series is an impressive line of vertical milling machines designed to meet the most demanding metalworking requirements.

DMG DMC V Series

Technical data

The current CMX V series includes the CMX 600 V, CMX 800 V and CMX 1100 V models. The machines are suitable for a maximum workpiece width of 560 mm and a maximum workpiece height of 630 mm. Depending on the model, the machines offer X-axis travels of varying lengths from 600 to 1100 mm (hence the respective model designations). Y-axis (560 mm) and Z-axis (510 mm) travels are the same for the current models.

The new models are equipped with the inlineMASTER spindle, which delivers 12,000 or 15,000 min-1. Other features include a direct path measuring system and the loTconnector.

Control and software

The CMX V series features state-of-the-art control and operating platforms. The machines are available with a choice of 3D controls, including SIEMENS, HEIDENHAIN or FANUC. The DMG MORI SLIMline multi-touch control offers ease of use and precision. CELOS, DMG MORI’s app-based control and operating platform, is also available and enables efficient programming and monitoring of the machines.

Application areas

Due to their wide distribution, attractive offers for used CMX V machining centers can be found again and again. Older models of the series are, for example, the DMG DMC 75 V linear and the DMG DMC 1035 V Eco, which, depending on the specific requirements, are favorable alternatives to new purchases.
