Where can I buy a used DMG CNC machine?
The easiest and safest way to buy the right used DMG CNC machine is through specialized machine dealers. They know the requirements of manufacturing companies in various industries and have a good overview of the machine types available on the market. Customers receive professional advice and offers tailored to their individual requirements from a CNC machine dealer. In order to check the quality and condition of the machines in detail, machine dealers usually offer on-site appointments to inspect the machines.
Machine portals on the Internet are also an important resource for companies looking for used DMG CNC machines. However, the large number of offers can make selection difficult, so buying via a portal requires thorough research. A lack of transparency and completeness of the information on the machine contained in the offers can lead to misunderstandings and make decision-making more difficult. In addition, logistics aspects should be taken into account, as organizing the transport and delivery of the CNC machine can be a challenge.

Used DMG milling machines
The machine manufacturer DMG has always stood for high-quality machine tools and has been one of the leading developers of innovative CNC technologies for decades. DMG has always been ahead of its time, particularly in the field of CNC milling, and used milling machines from DMG are also characterized by technologies that continue to enable efficient, high-precision and versatile production even years after their market launch. Buying a used DMG milling machine is therefore a comparatively inexpensive investment in proven technology.
DMG offers a wide range of milling machines, for example the CMX U series for 5-sided machining, the DMU 50 for 5-axis simultaneous milling of complex components and the large DMC and DMU portal machines. Some machines have integrated ultrasonic technology, such as the ULTRASONIC Universal and monoBLOCK machines, which enable particularly precise and gentle machining, especially in carbide machining. For used DMG milling machines, there are also various automation solutions for efficient production, with the option of retrofitting machines. This increases productivity even with older milling machines and reduces labor costs.
With their high precision, exceptional durability and good availability on the market, used DMG milling machines are an economical alternative to buying new.
DMG lathe used
In recent years, the increasing range of applications has led to the continuous development of turning technology and thus to new machine models. The introduction of new models also keeps the used market on the move, which means that used DMG lathes are often available at lucrative conditions.
The spectrum of used DMG lathes ranges from the cost-effective CLX models to medium-sized machines such as the tried-and-tested CTX and NLX lathes for demanding precision workpieces, through to the large machines in the NTX, NZ, NZX and SL series. Anyone looking to buy a used DMG lathe should therefore have the specific requirements of their production processes in mind.
The CTX beta TC, CTX gamma TC and NTX series lathes offer a wide range of machines for every application, regardless of the weight of the workpieces. Turning machines from the CLX TC, CTX beta TC, CTX gamma TC and NTX series are suitable for 6-sided complete machining of complex workpieces in one work area without the use of automation. Lathes such as the NZ platform, SPRINT and MULTISPRINT models with multiple tool carriers are often used for the production of large series. With the NZ platform, bar feeders or robot-supported workpiece handling systems also ensure a constant supply of material. For maximum precision, especially in series production in the automotive sector, the compact WASINO lathes are often the first choice.
What does a used DMG machine cost?
The price of a used DMG machine depends on a number of factors, first and foremost the machine type. While smaller, older milling machines are often offered for just a few thousand euros, large machining centers can achieve used prices of several hundred thousand euros. Other decisive price factors are the age, condition, number of operating hours and previous use in shift operation. The availability of spare parts and software updates for the CNC control also have an influence on the price, as outdated machines are generally less in demand.
It should be noted that, unlike new machines, the prices quoted for used machines often do not include services such as transportation, insurance and support. These costs must therefore be factored in by the buyer, as well as the determination and planning of set-up times, which are usually guaranteed by the manufacturer with corresponding time studies for new machines and are already included in the new price.
As in other areas, certain trends can also be observed on the market for used machines, which have an impact on demand and therefore on the price. For example, interest in horizontal machining centers has declined significantly in recent years, while 5-axis and universal machining centers are becoming increasingly popular, as they can be used more flexibly and therefore represent a sensible investment, especially in economically uncertain times with shorter order lead times. This trend towards greater flexibility can also be seen in the turning machine sector, where multi-axis machines are now largely in demand.
